Transcribed by Adam Sugihto (adam@connect.com.au or s9407586@huntsman.cse.rmit. edu.au) After watching Neil's fingers religiously while he was playing this both in Mel bourne and in Sydney (I was about five feet away from him in both instances) I am happy to say that this is a pretty accurate tabbing of "Everything is good for you". ;-) A lot of people have been asking for chords for this song, but because of the r iff/lead nature of the song I don't feel that simple chords do this song justice (They a re provided as a suggestion but if you want to sound like Neil - try playing the riffs). I have provided four riffs which are played during each line of the verses. They only differ in the way that they end each line. There are some other very slightly different o nes too, but not different enough to tab - you can figure them out if you REALLY want to ! The timing is not that clear with the above notation, but each s trike of the 'a' bass note is an eigth of a bar apart ie. a quaver) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------- Chords (As always I make no claims as to the correct names of any of these chords - al though I'm pretty sure 'E' is right! ;-): eadgbe Asus2 x02200 F#m 244222 G 355433 F 133211 Dmaj7 xx0222 To get that really low, aggressive sound I'd suggest to play the above three ch ords as power chords (ie. just the low two or three strings to bring out the bass in th e song.) Also, again due to the riff/lead nature of the song, it relies pretty heavily o n Nick's bass to fill out the chords. This is particularly noticeable in the bridge wher e it feels like there should be a chord change but there isn't (its just Nick's moving bas sline). I've provided some fill-in chords in brackets which can be played (but don't ha ve to) to simulate this moving bassline. E 022100 G/A x05433 A* x07655 For the last two chords (which are used for the lead out to the outro, Neil jus t improvises with his little finger, i.e: G/A - 1 x05435 G/A - 2 x05433 G/A - 3 x0545x G/A - 4 x0543x and the same sort of inprovisation with the A* chord : ) Tab Notation: 4s6 means note at fret 4 slid up to note at fret 6 (slide) 4h5 means play note at fret 4 then hammer-on to note at fret 5 4^ means put a bit of vibrato (bend up and down) on the note at fret 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------- By the way, all the 'suggestions' are just my observations of how Neil played i t so hopefully, this tab will sound as true to the song as possible!
